Only ten percent of the world’s universities can say they are members of the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), an international non-profit organisation aiming mainly at developing economics training programmes, providing quality control and training socially conscious leaders and economists.

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the faculty’s founding, the University of Szeged Faculty of Economics and Business Administration organised an international conference titled The Challenges of Analyzing Social and Economic Processes in the 21st Century between 7-9 November 2019.

Students from various Hungarian universities gathered in Budapest on 18 November to receive the Student Scholarship of Excellence of the Central Bank of Hungary including students from the University of Szeged Faculty of Economics and Business Administration.

MSCI is organizing an Open Day event on the 27th November. In this event participants will have an exclusive opportunity to take an office tour, meet some representatives of main interest areas (analytics, data, technology, client coverage), and discuss career paths with them and with other colleagues.

The University of Szeged Faculty of Economics and Business Administration signed a new student exchange agreement with the French IPAG Business School. The students of the Faculty will soon have the opportunity to spend weeks, months or even a whole semester in France and continue with their studies there via this new exchange programme.

After a lengthy preparation process, the University of Szeged Faculty of Economics and Business Administration will launch a new bachelor training programme for economists specialising in tourism and catering in the 2020/2021 academic year.

Anita Pelle, the academic coordinator of our Master in International Economy and Business signed a letter of intention for a double degree cooperation with the School of Economics of the Yunnan University (YNU) in Kunming in the beginning of June.

A National Higher Education Scholarship may be awarded to students with outstanding achievement in studier or outstanding professional work performed.

The Students’ Union of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration has proposed the creation of the Professor of the Year Award.

The Prezilimpia finals that took place on 3 May at the Agora.

OTDK is the National Scientific Conference held every 2 years in Hungary. 19 students from our faculty with 18 papers participated in the different 14 economics sections of the OTDK 2019 in Pécs.

In the faculty round of the Presentation Techniques Competition, Serene Abdinnour, 2nd year bachelor student from Palestine won the first place out of 27 competitors. Thus, she received the opportunity to represent the faculty of Economics and Business Administration in the university round of the competition, which took place on the 3^rd of April 2019.

The Talent Point of the University of Szeged has announced an academic presentation competition for talented students who feel motivated and able to present a scientific problem to an audience in an easily digestible manner with the use of popular presentation tools.
