In May of this year (2023), we held the local round of the European Ethics Bowl (EEB) international debate competition, where five teams debated "Ethics in Sport" to advance.
The tradition of holding events for newly-admitted GTK students continued on for this year as well, where a series of programmes was organized for the freshmen to get to know Szeged and the university. With the organization of the mentor team, led by Dr. Ildikó Pusztai-Varga, Director of International Affairs, and Melinda Kovács, International Relations Coordinator, the Faculty was able to hold a variety of events for the international students.
We are pleased to announce that the article 'Urban Agglomeration and Income Inequality: Is Kuznets Hypothesis Valid for Sub Saharan Africa?' by Isaiah Maket, Izabella Szakálné Kanó and Zsófia Vas has been published in the prestigious international journal Social Indicators Research (springer.com). This journal is Q1 in the Social Sciences discipline of Scimago, with an H-index of 126.
