The aula of the GTK’s faculty building houses a poetry exhibition from 11th April until 27th April.
The exhibition was ceremoniously opened on 11th April, also Hungary’s National Poetry Day commemorating the birthday of Hungarian poet Attila József, who was born on this day in 1905.
One of Attila József’s most famous poems has been translated into seven different languages by international students of the faculty – the resulting poems can be viewed in the faculty’s aula hanging from old wooden coat-racks with matching objects around them like an old typewriter in a weathered and beautiful antique suitcase. Available languages include English, French, Russian, Azerbaijani, Turkish, Arabic, and Kazakh. The translated poems were recited as an opening gesture for the 8th International Week organised by the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration.
