University blood donation on the 100th day ofthe year

300 lives would be saved by the citizens of the SZTE

It is of the utmost importance for the University of Szeged that the citizens of the university make a difference in the community, the city where they live, study and work. Therefore, on April 10, 2018, on the 100th day of the year, they attempt to call attention to the importance of regular blood donation with more than one hundred successful blood donations.

Citizens of the university - students, teachers and staff - can donate blood at the Attila József Educational and Information Centre SZTE (Szeged, Ady tér 10.) from 10 am to 5 pm on April 10, the 100th day of the year. The blood donors may make an appointment on the http://www.ovsz.hu/idopontfogas website, but they can donate blood without pre-registration as well. A total of 10 beds will be used for donation, of which 2 beds will be set aside for those without registration.

Everyone who is over 18 years of age can participate in the blood donation, including foreign students if they come with a Hungarian TAJ (social security) and address card. These two must be presented at the donation together with an ID card or a passport.

Blood donors will receive valuable gifts: a ticket to the St. Elizabeth Bath in Mórahalom, a discount coupon for the Borháló wine shop and a pair of SZTE sunglasses. The first 150 blood donors will also receive a discount ticket to AquaPolis Napfény Bath.

Valuable prizes will be raffled among the participants at the end of the blood donation at 5.15 pm. The main prize is a trip offered by Proko Travel. In addition, the following prizes will be raffled: the gift of Borháló Wine Shop, some pizza from Lucky Pizzeria, and a dinner for two at the Classic Café.

The blood donation is organized by the National Blood Supply Service and the University of Szeged with the no secret purpose of saving at least 300 lives on this day.
