Scholarship Award Ceremony at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration

Friday, February 23 2018, was a joyful day for the members of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. In fact, many students whose academic performance in the previous semester was outstanding were awarded the Scholarship offered by the Faculty.

In the afternoon of Friday, February 23, students, teachers and honourable guests from various companies gathered together in the KO Aula in order to take part in the Scholarship Ceremony. Once all the awarded students received their certificate, the audience enjoyed the inspirational speeches given by the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Péter Kovács, and the Vice-Rector for Education of the Szeged University, Prof. Dr. Krisztina Karsai. The event was concluded with a cheerful toast to the awarded students.

As in every semester, among the Scholarship grant holders we also find international students of the Business and Management BA programme. The awarded international students, for the Spring semester 2017-2018, were: Giulia Filoso, from Italy, Genco Azrak, from Turkey, Aseel Diana Mustafa-Belal, from Jordan, Adam Baum, from Germany, and Alikhan Orazaly, from Kazakhstan.

The international community is a fundamental component of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. Indeed, more than a hundred foreign students from all over the world are now part of it. The integration with Hungarian students is increasing rapidly, owing to the active participation of both groups in academic activities and initiatives, such as the Scholarship Ceremony. This is a promising start for a future further cooperation among Hungarian and international students.

In conclusion, we would like to give our best congratulations to the awarded students and compliment them for their excellent academic performance. May your studies be always so successful!
