International Week 2023

Dear Colleagues,

If You wish to spend a week in a vivid international milieu, with the opportunity to both hold lectures and start new collaborations, as well as to enjoy a selection of relaxing and fascinating social programmes, join our 15th International Week at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, University of Szeged, 27–31 March 2023.

The particular aim of the programme is to provide our students – both international and Hungarian – with the opportunity to listen to courses delivered by visiting lecturers from our partner institutions, at the same time strengthening already existing, as well as preparing and designing new collaborations in teaching, research and project activities between our institutions.

We invite Your students as well to join and register for mini-courses and social events in the International Week.

Our guests are invited to participate in the following programmes:

  1. Mini courses held in the training programmes of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (28-31 March 2023)
The basic aim of the programme is to convey academic experience for Hungarian and international students. Each mini course includes 6 teaching hours (+ 2 optional on-site evaluation hours).
  2. ‘Lángos’ Social – Networking and Workshops (28 March 2023)
Workshop I and II: Ulysses Contest and implications of a case study competition formation
The workshop aims to show that family businesses have a place in university education. Participants will learn how to present the characteristics of family businesses effectively through case studies. The Ulysses Contest (a European case study competition on family business) will also be introduced.
  3. ‘Pogácsa’ Social – Networking and Workshop (29 March 2023)
    Workshop III: EICCA
The workshop will familiarize participants with the wide conceptual understanding of entrepreneurship education (EE) - e.g. as represented in EntreComp – and a specialized digital platform (called EICAA-DP) that aims to foster EE. The participants will take part in self-assessment. This will inspire them to come up with their own use case scenarios for deploying EICAA-DP, which will enable them to explore the added-values of the platform for their own institutions.
  4. ‘Rétes’ Social – Networking and Workshop (30 March 2023)
    Workshop IV: COIL
Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) is a tool to connect students and professors in different countries for collaborative projects, in other words for cooperative learning experience without leaving one’s home countries but enjoying the benefits of internationalization. Participants will discover possibilities and examples of COIL, learn how to implement it into university education, discuss about and build the foundations of COIL based cooperation and will have the opportunity to become a member of the COIL network.
  5. Social activities of various kinds

Participation in the programme is free of charge.
