Profile

János Varga obtained his master’s degree in Finance from the University of Aarhus – Aarhus School of Business and Social Sciences in 2011. He has a background in computer science and physics as well from the University of Szeged. He started the Economics PhD programme at the University of Szeged Faculty of Economics and Business Administration in 2015. He joined the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration in 2018.

His research interests include monetary theory, the theory and philosophy of modelling, the emergence of cooperation in social groups and financial machine learning.

Management of Financial Institutions, Corporate Valuation.
BSc course:
Corporate Finance, Introductory Finance.

Research Topics

Economic modelling, agent-based modelling, evolution of cooperation, risk management in banking, financial machine learning.
