What did GTK mean to you?

When I first came to GTK, I was amazed by how diverse and open-minded the community was. GTK gave me a strong foundation not only academically but also personally. It encouraged me to be curious, creative, and confident in expressing my ideas. For me, GTK has become much more than a place to study. It’s a home I can always return to, where I know I’ll be greeted with warmth and a true sense of belonging.

Career path

When I was about to finish my Master’s degree, I already knew that I wanted to stay in academia. I began my PhD journey soon after graduation, driven by the desire to contribute something meaningful to research and education.

Advice for current and future students

Live your life to the fullest: make friends, take risks, and never underestimate yourself.

Most inspiring teacher or experience

I believe I learned something valuable from each of my professors. Every class offered a different perspective that helped shape my understanding of economics and life.

If you could start your GTK years again...

If I could start my studies all over again, I would still choose GTK — but I would take even more chances and get involved in more projects.
