Double Degree

Double Degree programme with the University of Warsaw – study abroad and receive two Master’s degrees

The University of Szeged, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration signed a Double Degree programme agreement with the University of Warsaw in 2021.

Both Institutions will simultaneously grant a Master’s degree:
- International Business Program (IBP) offered at the Faculty of Management, University of Warsaw, and
- International Economy and Business (INEB) offered at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, University of Szeged.

The application is open for Hungarian Master students and tuition fee paying international Master students of the International Economy and Business MSc programme, with a Bachelor’s degree (min. 180 ECTS) with at least 60 ECTS in courses on management and/or economics. You can apply for the programme for the 2022/2023 academic year. The call for application is available in Coospace.

Students complete semester 1 and 2 at their home university (INEB students in the University of Szeged) and semesters 3 and 4 at the host Institution (University of Warsaw). During the first year students are enrolled only at their home university, while during their second year they are also enrolled at the host university, thus have the chance to spend one academic year in Warsaw and earn another Master’s degree. Students shall not pay any enrolment fee or other taxes to the host University.

We asked Dr. Anita Pelle, programme director of the International Economy and Business MSc programme, and Dr. Katarzyna Dziewanowska, Director of International Affairs from the University of Warsaw, why they would recommend this programme for our students:

"Although the International Economy and Business MSc programme is an international training programme in itself, it is an added value to study in another country and learn from teachers abroad. It is the best way to immerse yourself in a new intercultural environment, while earning a second Master’s degree is another asset.
The Faculty of Management of the University of Warsaw is situated in a modern building, the study material, teaching methods and teachers’ attitude are also inventive. The staff is open and friendly, while the large number of international students provides another colourful environment."

"Studying abroad is always a great adventure. Why not combine it with practical outcomes? Faculty of Management, University of Warsaw and Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, University of Szeged offer a double degree opportunity to their students – come to Warsaw, study international business, meet great people and unlock your future potential! Faculty of Management UW is the oldest business school in Central and Eastern Europe, EQUIS and AMBA accredited. With 5,000 enrolled students, 200 staff members and modern infrastructure FoM UW is a fantastic academic destination."

See you in Warsaw!
