Admission process for MSc applicants

The admission process for the MSc programme involves an oral interview conducted online, via Skype. All transcript of records are reviewed by a committee previous to the entrance interview to ensure eligibility. The interview itself is a 10-15 minute discussion in English focusing on a topic chosen by the candidate (European integration or the global economy).

All candidates are evaluated based on their demonstrated professional knowledge about the chosen topic, their English skill and overall motivation. The admission committee makes records of each entrance interview for future reference.

After the entrance interviews have been evaluated the faculty committee decides about the admissions on the faculty level – please note that the final decision about the scholarship is made by the Tempus Public Foundation.

Once the scholarships are awarded, newly admitted students are issued an official admission letter by the university to attach to visa applications. Accommodation is provided to all Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship holders in the University’s dormitories, however, students may move to individual flats later.

New students start their studies in September each year with an orientation week designed to get their paperwork in order and make them familiar with the University and the vibe of the city before starting classes usually in the middle of September.

Documents to submit for MSc applicants (depends on the relevant Call for Applications):

  • Valid passport
  • Relevant BSc/BA degree
  • Transcript of records from previous BSc/BA studies
