This intensive summer school provides you with all the insights needed for starting business collaborations in CEE – from Germany through Poland to Hungary.

Training programme: 6 teaching blocks during weekdays; 1 block: one afternoon + next morning, 2x180 minutes

European Business Environment The EU in the world. The functioning of the internal market of the EU, the four freedoms, the Schengen Area. Europe for citizens, Europe for businesses.
European Comparative Statistics Comparative analysis of the member states of the EU: GDP, exports and imports, population and social conditions, employment, education, innovation, energy and sustainability.
Economic Fundamentals of European integration The steps of European economic integration. The impact of the global financial and economic crisis on the EU and the Eurozone. Competition regulation and the common trade policy of the EU.
Post-socialist transformation and EU accession in CEE Socialist system and reform socialist models. Economic transition in CEE. The CEE model of capitalism. The impact of the 2008 global crisis on the CEE countries.
Foreign investments and multinationals in CEE Theories and forms of the internationalisation of firms. Data and information sources on export and FDI in CEE. Entry modes and strategies, economic policies in CEE.
CEE business culture and intercultural communication The human and cultural aspects of business interactions. Intercultural communication – theories and their realisations in CEE countries.
