The first BAM Alumni Advisory Board meeting

The first BAM Alumni Advisory Board meeting was successfully held, clearly demonstrating from the very beginning the value of this new initiative for our community. The discussion took place in a friendly and open atmosphere, where participants shared their experiences and insights in an honest and constructive way.

Our joint reflection confirmed that in many areas we are on the right track: the international character of the program, the supportive environment, and the overall student experience are all strong assets we can confidently build on in the future. At the same time, the conversation not only reinforced our current practices but also brought in fresh, inspiring ideas—especially regarding student support, community building, and the development of alumni relations.

A key takeaway was the idea that the alumni community can become more than just a network—it can evolve into a vibrant, active ecosystem that contributes to the development of current students. Mentorship, shared experiences, and personal connections emerged as important directions for future initiatives.

At the same time, we also acknowledged that building and developing an alumni community is a long-term process, and we are still at the beginning of this journey. Progress in this area is necessarily gradual, requiring patience, consistency, and continuous engagement from all involved.

The Board meets twice a year, and already after this first occasion, we find ourselves looking forward to our next gathering.

This first meeting has laid a strong foundation for our collaboration, outlining a shared vision in which alumni not only reflect on their past experiences but also actively shape the future of the BAM community.
