International Week 2020

12th International Week

30 March-3 April, 2020

Dear Colleagues,

If You wish to spend a week in a vivid international milieu, with the opportunity to both hold lectures and start new collaborations, as well as to enjoy a selection of relaxing and fascinating social programmes, join our 12th International Week at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, University of Szeged, 30 March–3 April, 2020.

The particular aim of the programme is to provide our students – both international and Hungarian – with the opportunity to listen to courses delivered by visiting lecturers from our partner institutions, at the same time strengthening already existing, as well as preparing and designing new collaborations in teaching, research and project activities between our institutions.

We invite Your students as well to join and register for mini-courses and social events in the International Week.

Our guests are invited to participate in the following programmes:

  1. Mini-courses held in the training programmes of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (31 March, 1-2 April, 2020)
Basic aim of the programme is to convey academic experience for Hungarian and international students. Each mini-course includes 6 teaching hours.
  2. Workshop I: How to Design a Mini-course for International Weeks and Summer Schools? (31 March, 20120)
During the workshop, we invite our partners to share their experiences and good-practices in designing and delivering short-run study courses usually offered in summer schools and international weeks. When delivering a short-run course, we all face the challenges of focusing and distilling content, applying interactive and imaginative methodology, managing a diverse and temporary classroom group, as well as designing an appropriate assessment method. The workshop provides a platform for idea-sharing on this topic.
  3. Workshop II: Co-creation in Higher Education (31 March, 2020)
In the framework of the workshop, our colleagues are invited to share their experience and best practices of co-creation in higher education. As the students’ needs are constantly changing, educators face the challenges of satisfying these needs. The concept of co-creation includes practices that try to engage students in a new and creative way. The workshop provides an excellent opportunity for teachers to share their experience about or get familiar with the concept of co-creation.
  4. Workshop III: Gamification in the Classroom – an Specific Example Presented (1 April, 2020)
Gamification is a popular buzzword in several field nowadays. However, little is known about the real benefits and challenges of using games in higher education context. In this workshop, an actual digital game is introduced and experiences are shared about gamification approaches. If you ever wondered about implementing serious games in your classes, this workshop is dedicated for you.
  5. Social activities of various kinds

Participation in the programme is free of charge.
