The second event of Ecopol Economic Evenings was hold on April 17th where Dr. Beáta Farkas the associate professor of the University of Szeged Faculty of Economy and Business Administration performed an excellent presentation in the topic of ’crisis management in the EU’s cohesion countries’.

At the first part of the evening Dr. Beáta Farkas listed the most substantial structural problems of the cohesion countries, e.g. the low level of employment and the investment rate. Beside the problems she also demonstrated the measures of the governments of each country to mitigate the effects.

At the second part of the audience took the words and asked a lot about the exact steps in the financial and economic policy of each country, which can be a ’best practice’ for Hungary. The conversation was perfectly moderated and enhanced by Dr. Anita Pelle associate professor of the University of Szeged Faculty of Economy and Business Administration.

As a conclusion the evening can be described with: a great presentation, vital conversations and no empty seats.
